Post-Reunion Wrap-Up
Not only did we surpass our annual fundraising goal, but we also surpassed our participation goal! We are proud to report that 37% of our class donated to the Smith Fund. Many thanks to the expanded Fund Team, and kudos to each alum who donated. You truly made a difference!
Pre-Reunion Message
Thanks to all of you who have generously contributed to our 45th Reunion! We have exceeded our fundraising total but still have a little way to go to reach our participation goal of 35%. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Everyone’s gift has an impact. We will get credit as a class! There are two campaigns currently underway.
The first one is to become a “Friend” of Athletics, the Botanic Gardens, the Libraries, or the Museum of Art. Visit Friends of Smith to select your favorite group. At Reunion, the class that has the most alums signed up as “Friends” will be announced and receive special recognition. We can do it!
The second campaign is Socks for Scholarships. Make a minimum gift of $70 and you will receive a pair of commemorative socks mailed out in June. All gifts made to “The Friends of Smith College” and “Socks for Scholarships” are part of the Smith Fund. The Smith Fund directly benefits the current-year budget of the College, making a huge, positive impact on the services and support of today’s students.
We are asking everyone to support The Smith Fund in some way at whatever level you are comfortable with. For all giving opportunities, please visit The Smith Fund. Your generosity will be credited to our class. It will make a huge difference. Also, any donation may be designated in memory of one our classmates or in honor of someone special.
We are counting on your help. We need a few more classmates to give to meet our participation goal of 35%. All gifts made by May 24th will count in our five-year total announced on Saturday morning of Reunion II weekend. So exciting! Please make your 45th Reunion donation today!
Many thanks to Lee Crawford who made our Rally Day Challenge such a success!
Thanks also to our Fund Team volunteers: Betsy Armour, Maria Benet, Cathy Bertocci, Lee Crawford, Elaine McConnell, Betsy Farrar, Cynde Greene, Cindy Harris, Sally Mayer, Julie Pretzat Merchant and Risa Sodi.
Thank you again. Can’t wait to see you at reunion!
